Three things to know about Holy Angels’ upcoming job fair

Holy Angels, a Belmont-based organization dedicated to providing care and education to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is hiring for more than 30 positions.

The organization will host a job fair at its 6600 Wilkinson Blvd. campus in Belmont from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday where visitors can apply. 

Here are the top three things to know about the jobs.

Positions

According to information from Holy Angels Chief Communications Officer Shawn Flynn, the organization is looking to hire 25 direct support professionals, 11 people to join their nursing staff, a job coach for the Cherubs Café and Spruced Goose Station, a licensed physical therapy assistant and a housekeeper.

Direct support professionals will assist clients with daily living tasks like bath time and brushing their teeth. 

They will also perform basic physical therapy and range of motion actions as well as provide nursing care. 

In the realm of nurses, Holy Angels is looking for a registered nurse manager, RN supervisor, licensed practical nurses and medical technicians.

The job coach will assist employees at Holy Angels retail stores in providing customer service, operating the registers and more.

The LPTA will act as a liaison between clients and opportunities to meet their medical needs.

They will also generally assist the physical therapist in providing care and developing care programs for residents.

Qualities

Flynn said the organization is looking to hire people with big hearts who are willing to learn. 

“Holy Angels is not just your everyday place to come and work. It is a place of loving, living and learning not only for our residents, but for the employees because we get to take care of such special people. Our residents have very specific needs. Most are medically fragile. They need special people to take care of them. That means you must have a big heart, and you have to be exceptional. It is a place where when you walk out of here every day you will know you have made a difference,” Holy Angels President and CEO Kerri Massey said in an email from the organization.

Residents

Holy Angels currently serves 81 residents ranging in age from 15-82.
