Some of the biggest names in Hollywood have headed north for the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) The 49th edition of the event, held from Sept. 5 to 15, offers A-list celebrities and indie film darlings the chance to turn heads and generate some serious awards season buzz in the process.
From Selena Gomez to Pamela Anderson, there’s been no shortage of star sightings for movie fans. Jennifer Lopez, Sydney Sweeney and Demi Moore all brought their fashion A-game to the red carpet for their film premiers and the TIFF party circuit. But which stars have worn head-turning looks that range anywhere between elegant and enchanting? Below are some of the best looks celebrities have worn at this year’s festival in Toronto.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez celebrated the premiere of her film Emilia Peréz in a custom sequinned look by Rodarte. The 32-year-old actress and Rare Beauty founder looked sophisticated in the black column gown with peplum and floral detail that she paired with a classic red lip and soft old Hollywood-inspired waves.
Zoe Saldaña
Saldaña’s high-fashion Armani Privé nude illusion gown hit all the high notes at the Emilia Peréz premiere. The strategically placed lace appliqués and ruffled details on the back created a show-stopping red carpet moment and one of the most memorable looks from this year’s festival.

The actress paired her sleeveless knit turtleneck top with a knee-length black skirt and classic black pumps for the event. Despite portraying a Las Vegas dancer, Anderson kept her glam to a minimum; the 59-year-old looked fresh-faced in little to no makeup.
Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett arrived to the TIFF Tribute Awards in a glamorous patterned Givenchy gown with architectural bodice detail. The statuesque star pulled off the high-fashion look that was paired with statement Louis Vuitton jewelry.

Demi Moore opted for a menswear-inspired look for the premiere of The Substance. The 61-year-old actress wore a floor-length Thom Browne skirt featuring a silk cumberbund, white tuxedo shirt and black tie. She accessorized with Tiffany & Co. diamond vine drop earrings, Jean Schlumberger’s Sea Star Brooch on her hip and two statement diamond rings.
Brenda Song
Brenda Song rocked the red carpet for the premiere of The Last Showgirl, wearing a vintage Stella McCartney gown for the event. The 36-year-old actress stunned in the black dress that featured hip cutouts and a scoop neckline embellished with five hanging diamond necklace-like pieces.
Kiernan Shipka
Kiernan Shipka also opted for black for the red carpet of the premiere of The Last Showgirl. The 24-year-old actress wore a sleeveless gown from Elie Saab for the event, which featured a sleek skirt that fell to the floor and a see-through crochet bodice.
