Tiffany Haddish walks the NYFW runway on Kathy Hilton’s dare: ‘Nothing but trouble’

Tiffany Haddish turned her front row seat into a runway at a New York Fashion Week show after being dared by Kathy Hilton.

The “Girls Trip” actress, 44, was seated next to the “RHOBH” star and her daughters, Paris and Nicky Hilton, at Monse’s spring 2025 show on Saturday when she was challenged to give her best catwalk by the matriarch, according to videos posted by the hotel heiresses.

“My mom @KathyHilton dared @TiffanyHaddish to hit the @MonseMaison runway 🤭 But like Tiff always says… “She Ready!” 🤣🥰 #NothingButTrouble #NYFW,” Paris captioned a video of the jest Sunday.

Haddish was seen boldly popping out of her seat and strutting all the way around the circular runway as attendees watched with either delight or horror.

The Hiltons and other stars sitting front row including Derek Blasberg and Jenna Lyons laughed with delight as the comedian put on a show in her green pantsuit, however, internet users were less than amused and dubbed Haddish’s actions as disrespectful.

“Who are Tiffany Haddish’s friends? This is something a college student would do for jokes, not a seasoned professional entertainer. They could have kicked her out for this,” one person wrote on X Sunday.

“I feel like this is low key super disrespectful to the designers,” a critic commented on Paris’ post. “I actually think this is rude,” a second person agreed.

“Girl why?? And this is why you will never be invited into certain rooms! Don’t make a fool of yourself for the pleasure of these people. 🙄,” a third added.

Others slammed Kathy for tricking Haddish into walking the runway instead of her own daughters.

“Played her and laughed in her face,” one person wrote. “Tiffany they are not laughing with you, but at you 😑,” a second claimed.

Despite the backlash, several celebrities commented with supportive messages including Kris Jenner, Carmen Electra, Bijou Phillips and Kim Zolciak-Biermann.

Denise Richards said, “@kathyhilton is legendary!” while Jenner wrote, “God I love your mom 😂😂😂.”

The fashion house also appeared to approve of Haddish’s spur-of-the-moment walk on the runway as the video was shared on their official social media page.

The brand’s co-founders, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, even shared a video laughing and chatting with Haddish after her antics.

“What happened?” Kim asked the stand-up star in a video shared to the designer’s Instagram on Sunday.

“Ok first of all, I was at y’all show and the show was absolutely amazing and I was cheering on all the models. Apparently, you’re not supposed to do that,” Haddish recalled.

“Kathy Hilton was like, ‘Tiffany I dare you to get up there, you look so good right now, you should get up there and show off that suit. Just get up there,’” she explained.

“And I was like, ‘Get up there? What do you mean get up there?’ Paris is like, ‘Yes, come on, we’re sliving, we’re sliving’ and Nicky’s like, ‘Come on this is the perfect time,’” Haddish continued.

At first, Haddish said she told the sisters and their mom that she wasn’t going to do it, but then they “double dog dare[d]” her and she accepted the challenge.

Kim laughed as Haddish recounted the story and told her, “Love that,” while Garcia said, “We love you, thank you so much for coming.”

Haddish joked that she hoped to be “invited again” to their show. However, the “Like A Boss” actress isn’t the first person in the Hilton circle to crash a runway.

Earlier this summer, Kathy accidentally stood on the runway during the start of co-star Sutton Stracke’s fashion show. Perhaps the duo will be cast as models for next year’s fashion week shows.
