Tim Robinson, Sam Richardson unveil Lions’ schedule in side-splitting fashion

ALLEN PARK — When two of the funniest people on the planet happen to be diehard fans of your team, sometimes you need to sit back and let them work their magic.

And that’s what the Detroit Lions did when unveiling their 2024 regular-season schedule with beloved “Detroiters” Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson.

Robinson and Richardson announced Detroit’s schedule from the parking lot of the team’s headquarters in Allen Park. They acted as the Lions’ advertisement team, a play on their role in the Comedy Central show “Detroiters,” and even threw some shade at Fanatics for spoiling the team’s new uniform reveal and even the referees from the Lions-Cowboys game last year.

The pair, also known for the breakout Netflix hit “I Think You Should Leave,” got some swears in before turning to the “LionTron 2000″ to release the schedule. Robinson and Richardson then react to a scrolling screen and play on that idea, saying the Lions are going to win all of those games and thanking Mike North for his job helping create the schedule every year.

Robinson and Richardson were regularly spotted on the sideline of games last season. They’ve even worked with the team’s social media crew in the past for reactions and videos, leading to this moment. In fact, most of Richardson’s tweets are just Lions emojis and thoughts about his favorite team.
