David Burden planted the seed of what would become Timbers Company when he opened Timbers Club in the resort area of Snowmass, Colorado. The ground-up development of the luxury residences led to additional development opportunities, and over the last 25 years Timbers Company has grown to include a number of luxury resorts and rentals, plus programs to help travel advisors sell those properties, some of which the brand says are in “the most private spots on Earth.”
We spoke with Brian Corbett, chief operating officer for Timbers Company, about what the company looks like today and how it is aiming to strengthen its relationship with travel advisors.
You’ve had a long career in hospitality. What brought you to Timbers Company?
I first worked with Timbers Company as a consultant at Timbers Club in Snowmass more than 20 years ago. Over the years, and as the Timbers portfolio expanded, I was fortunate to visit many of the company’s resorts. My admiration for the brand and its team grew as I experienced the quality of their developments, the strength of the company’s talent and the exceptional experiences it offers owners and guests in spectacular places. I am happy to be working on the development side of the resort business, expanding Andiamo [more on this later] and continuing Timbers’ 25-year history of delivering for owners and guests.
The Timbers portfolio is diverse, with Timbers Resorts properties, the Soleil brand and Andiamo rentals. How do you describe those three prongs to travel advisors who may be new to the portfolio?
Our portfolio caters to a wide range of luxury travelers, offering something for every need. From the lush island of Kauai in Hawaii to the immaculate beauty of Tuscany or skiing in Vail while visiting The Sebastian – Vail, we have a property to suit every preference.
Our resort teams consistently execute at the highest levels, and our guests enjoy meticulously cared-for accommodations.
Andiamo features a curated collection of properties that can be booked online. At Andiamo, we don’t sell hotel rooms or nights. We offer access to Timbers’ owner experiences and branded residential stays, typically in week-long packages. Our resort teams consistently execute at the highest levels, and our guests enjoy meticulously cared-for accommodations. [There’s] room to spread out and gather, kitchens, laundry and access to world-class resort amenities.
Can you point out a few of the portfolio’s most popular properties?
The most popular properties are in three iconic locations. There’s Timbers Kauai, on the lush Hawaiian island of Kauai. It offers breathtaking ocean views and a connection to nature. Then, Casali di Casole in Tuscany, Italy, is a luxurious estate that embodies Old World charm with modern amenities, perfect for travelers seeking an authentic Italian experience. And Homes of Distinction at South Seas on Captiva Island, Florida, provides unparalleled beachfront and island living.

Tell us about the Andiamo launch, and what advisors should know. Our goal behind launching Andiamo and AndiamoCollection.com was to create a centralized showcase of our curated portfolio, making it easier for guests to discover our authentic, exclusive and unique destinations.
Travel advisors can trust that their clients will receive a truly authentic and personalized experience at some of the world’s most sought-after locations.
For travel advisors, we launched Andiamo Elite, offering benefits not only for the travel advisor, but for their valued clients as well. Travel advisors have access to an enhanced commission and a guaranteed six-hour response time. More importantly, they can trust that their clients will receive a truly authentic and personalized experience at some of the world’s most sought-after locations, being served by the finest in hospitality.
Then, clients will enjoy customized amenities tailored to their location, a personalized welcome letter from the general manager and early check-in or late check-out when available. For example, at Timbers Kauai, they might receive a basket of fresh fruit from The Farm at Hokuala, our organic on-site farm. In Tuscany, a locally grown bottle of Cabernet or olive oil might greet them upon arrival. These thoughtful touches, paired with attentive service, ensure that both the advisors and their clients feel valued and well taken care of.
