Today the Mystics are deserving favorites after demolishing Dallas in yesterday’s game, pushing their team total up but not to the point where I’d be afraid. They can get whatever they want against this shorthanded and disinterested Wings squad that’s playing no defense right now. The Mystics are in the process of taking out the frustrations that came with an 0-12 start to the season, so I see them showing no mercy today. Washington shot it extremely well yesterday on their way to 97 points, but even significant regression keeps this total in play. If the WNBA wants to run this matchup back, then I’m running this bet back.

WNBA (0.5 Unit) NY Liberty/Atlanta Dream Over 165.5 (-110; Odds via BetMGM): 2:00 PM CT on ESPN3

The Liberty are pretty locked in offensively right now, going for 90-plus points in their past 5 games. I don’t think Atlanta will do much to slow that down today, but they will have an opportunity to keep up offensively though. This is a tough scheduling spot for New York after playing yesterday, so a tired team might not put much effort into the defensive end when they can overwhelm anyone with their offense. A side effect of averaging 93.4 PPG the past 5 games is that the Liberty’s opponents are averaging 87.4 PPG in the same stretch. It’ll be tougher for the Dream without Rhyne Howard, but I expect the style of game that gets to this total no problem.

MLB (0.5 Unit) Minnesota Twins Team Total Over 4.5 (-115; Odds via Caesars): 3:07 PM CT on Bally Sports North

I have to run this back today after the Twins put a 10-spot on the board yesterday. That was against a lefthanded starter and worn-out bullpen, which they’ll see again today. The Twins are now 11-2 over this team total in their past 13 games once the offense started clicking, and it’s my preferred way of backing Minnesota instead of risking some of the weird losses and bad pitching changes that have happened lately. It’s another good day for hitting conditions by Oakland standards, so expect the Twins to stay locked in at the plate.
