After putting up 7 runs last night, the Padres are in a good spot to keep their offense rolling tonight. They did most of last night’s damage against a righty who struggles at home, and as luck would have it that’s exactly what they’ll see again here. Miles Mikolas has had some serious blowup games at Busch Stadium this season, leading to a 5.94 ERA in home games.

As I mentioned yesterday, the Padres are the best hitting team on the road in MLB this season, and have been great against righties as they showed last night. They also tend to support their own starter Dylan Cease fairly well, scoring just over 5 runs per start for their ace, so look for another strong day at the plate for the Padres.

WNBA (0.5 Unit) Las Vegas Aces/Dallas Wings Over 180.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:00 PM CT on NBA TV

This total is roaring upward, and with good reason in my opinion. There might be a significant trend of unders cashing since the league returned from break, but these are two teams perfectly suited to breaking that trend. The Aces have struggled offensively in recent games, but there’s nobody better to get back on track against than Dallas.

The Wings allow the most points per game in the league and it’s not close, surrendering 90.9 on average. And since returning from the Olympic break they’ve been even worse, allowing 98.0 PPG. If the Aces get rolling downhill they will not let up, as they’ve already dropped triple digits on Dallas once this year.

This is a lost season for the Wings, but they are healthy now with Satou Sabally back, so their offense is dangerous at the pace they play and can exploit a struggling Aces defense. But Vegas will also play up-tempo with a lot of three-point attempts, and that should be the recipe for getting this game over the high total.
