TNA duo earns shot for AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship

The relationship between TNA and AAA is bearing fruit. Nic Nemeth currently holds the TNA World Championship and the AAA Mega Championship. And now, a TNA duo are in line to challenge for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship.

Crazzy Steve and Havok represented Decay to compete at Verano De Escandalo on Friday night (Aug. 2, 2024) in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. They prevailed in victory in a three-way contest against Negro Casas & Dalys and Aerostar & Estrellita to determine the #1 contenders. No date has been set yet for Decay to challenge reigning champions Lady Flammer & Abismo Negro Jr.

In other #1 contender news, Flammer will be busy defending the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Triplemania XXXII: Mexico City on August 17. Her opponent was determined at Verano De Escandalo. Faby Apache defeated five luchadoras to earn the honor. She outlasted Maravilla, La Hiedra, Reina Dorada, Sexy Star, and Sussy Love. Faby is a four time Reina de Reinas champion. The countdown begins to find out if she can carry gold for the fifth time.
