Horoscope
Today’s daily horoscope for April 21, 2024
In a Lunar Swell
To set goals around how much you’d like to practice or study will be a far better aim than setting your sights on a prize. When you put in the hours of study and practice, the achievement will be either a given or irrelevant next to the joy of immersion that will soon take over. A person melding with the verb of who they are is somehow the most alive.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Your top favorite people aren’t always around and available, but since you will absorb at least some energy from nearby influences, you make sure you have other quality things to read, watch and learn about.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Even though relationships often come together organically, when they take work instead, it’s not necessarily a bad sign. Interesting connections are worth something extra. It will be a pleasure to cultivate shared interests and put effort into good conversation.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). It is possible to approach the familiar with fresh eyes, but only because you want to. You sense it will bring you a fresh thrill to come at the scene as an outsider. The novice’s gaze unveils unseen riches. Innocence births receptivity.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Shared work will highlight the mysterious magic of a group. Effective teams roll to the goal as one because they are balanced and cohesive, not because of the particular qualifications of individual members.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You wouldn’t chide a baby for stumbling in their first steps, so why do you expect yourself to do well with tasks you are brand-new to? Navigating new tasks isn’t always instinctual. Be kind to yourself in the early stages of learning.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You’ll take a task apart in your mind to figure out what part you love about it, and what you only do for a secondary reason like duty, pay or because it comes with the territory. The thought exercise will inspire a new approach.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). It’s been suggested that adolescence encompasses enough suffering to qualify anyone as an artist. Even though issues were resolved long ago, the lingering tension still shows up in ways that help you empathize and bond with others.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). This is no time to be timid. Accept life’s invitation like it was always meant for you. Certainty makes things easier. As you step into a new role, you’ll find yourself embodying its facets with a sense of ownership that helps the transition along.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It’s possible to get too wrapped up in improving things and miss the thrill of building anew. Not everything needs improving, and there’s a point of diminishing returns to consider, too. Channel your energy where it truly matters.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Poetic musings color your thoughts; symbols dance in every shadow. It may help to know that though meaning can live in the depths, it is just as present in the lightness where it asks your heart to set down its burdens.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Repetition births character. Rhythm forges identity. You’ll be drawn to repeating a habit, and for good reason. You sense there’s something here for you — a way of making your life fit you better, the way a worn shoe molds to support your foot.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You will never be sorry for quality time devoted to outfitting yourself for the terrain. The cosmic lesson, both literal and metaphorical, whispers: Even the smoothest path can trip you up if you’re in the wrong shoes.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (April 21). You are endlessly creative. In the past, marketing yourself has been a challenge, but this year shows you a new way to frame and promote your work. The opening you’ve been waiting for presents like a giant hug. More highlights: You’ll expand your personal horizons and forge a new relationship with money and abundance in its many forms. Cancer and Aquarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 33, 25, 1 and 15.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom broke many records in her reign, including the longest-lived, the longest-married and the longest-reigning British monarch in history. She was also the most traveled and the first to visit many countries. Taurus is known for tenacity and longevity. Natal moon and Neptune in Leo signified a creative flair, a penchant for pomp and circumstance and a love of children.
