A Beetlejuice Double Feature will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at the Aiken County Public Library, 314 Chesterfield St. S.W. “Beetlejuice,” rated PG, will be shown at 1 p.m. followed by “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” rated PG-13, at 2:40 p.m. Attendees should bring their own snacks and chair cushions. SATURDAY

A Square Dance Fundraiser will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Family Life Center of First Presbyterian Church, 224 Barnwell St. The event will feature Pete LeBerge, caller; Ashley Carder, fiddle and guitar; Dan Gellert, banjo and fiddle; and Deb Posey, guitar. All ages and levels are welcome, dances will be taught. Proceeds benefit Western North Carolina. For more information, email aikenloveswnc@gmail.com.

An AARP Smart Driver Course will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Listine Gunter Courtney Center, 49 Roy St., Wagener. The cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. For more information or to register, call 803-671-0821.

The Back to Basics Alcoholics Anonymous group will meet in-person at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Road. Masks are encouraged for those who are not vaccinated.

MONDAY

Aiken Women In Black and Moms Demand Action will hold a Vigil for Peace and Nonviolence on Monday, Jan. 6, from 4-5 p.m., on Whiskey Road across from The Fresh Market. Join us in seeking an end to war, gun violence and peace for all. Everyone is welcome — men, women, children.
