4 Cats in the Doghouse play jazz from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays at The Willcox, 100 Colleton Ave. 

SEPT. 27

The Butterfly Monarchy Club will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, in the Faith Center at St. John’s Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St. N.W. The meeting topic will be the Cecropia Moth, the largest native moth in North America. Parking is available on Barnwell Avenue and Chesterfield Street. Admission is free and meetings are open to the public.

SEPT. 28

The Aiken Women’s Heart Board in partnership with the USC Aiken Theater Group will perform the Heart Show Encore at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. Performances will be at the Etherredge Center on the campus of USC Aiken, 471 University Parkway. The show will feature the music from the 2023 Heart Show — Home is where the Heart Is. Keep Aiken County Beautiful will hold an Edisto River Sweep litter pick up at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Aiken State Park Natural Area, 1145 State Park Road, Windsor. Volunteers should check-in and pick-up supplies at the corner of Old Tory Trail and State Park Road. For more information or to volunteer, email kacb@aikencountysc.gov.

The Overflow Foundation will hold Music and Mocktails at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Generations Park, 700 Mack Henry Holland Drive. The event will feature performance by Cody Webb and Chris Ndeti, food trucks, bounce houses and more. Admission is free. For more information, visit overflow.foundation.

The Back to Basics Alcoholics Anonymous group will meet in-person at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Road. Masks are encouraged for those who are not vaccinated.
