Tommy DeVito named special guest for North Jersey Sports Awards presented by Englewood Health

New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito will be the celebrity guest at the 2024 North Jersey High School Sports Awards, presented by Englewood Health.

The show begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 28 at Bergen PAC. Secure your spot at this free event by registering here or on the show’s website.

DeVito, who grew up in Cedar Grove and starred in high school at Don Bosco, signed with the hometown Giants as an undrafted free agent last spring. He made national headlines when he went from the Giants practice squad to leading Big Blue to three wins as a rookie.

He quickly became a fan favorite, nicknamed “Tommy Cutlets” after sharing that he was living at home and enjoying his mother’s Italian home cooking, including chicken cutlets.

About the 2024 North Jersey Sports Awards

The North Jersey High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.

This year, during the live show, the players of the year will be honored in 33 sports. The event will also feature other premier awards for both on and off-the-field accomplishments of student-athletes, coaches and teams, including the Courage Award and Coach of the Year, Boys Team of the Year, Girls Team of the Year, and the Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards.

The annual Charlie McGill Scholarship Awards will also be presented to two individuals.
