Top 256 character stats for Street Fighter 6 at Evo 2024 where Akuma, M. Bison and Ed put up big numbers
Though none of the DLC characters came out on top overall
Evo 2024 showed up big this weekend as the largest fighting game event ever (and open eSports tournament in general) where there’s only one fitting way to close out the action.
With over 5,200 competitors signed up for Street Fighter 6 alone, we’ve gone through and gathered the full character stats for the biggest tournament of them all.
Kicking things off with the top 32, we ended up seeing 13 of the game’s 23 characters selected as main options in the upper bracket, which was a bit top heavy.
Ken ended up being the most popular pick of those fighting to be a finalist followed immediately by Ed and M. Bison with almost half of the players using at least one of them.
That left A.K.I., Dhalsim, E. Honda, Guile, Jamie, Lily, Marisa, Ryu and Zangief on the sidelines while Manon was at least used as a secondary.
The top 8 was made up of Ed, Rashid, Cammy, M. Bison, Dee Jay and Ken with the boxer and fiery Shoto both showing up more than once.
• Ken – 5 (1)
• Ed – 5
• M. Bison – 4 (1)
• Cammy – 3 (1)
• Juri – 3 (1)
• Rashid – 3

Moving a few steps back to look at the top 96, Ken’s number one spot was actually snatched away by the newest Shoto with Akuma cracking 10 mains.
This means just over 10 percent of the players were using the last DLC character of Season 1 and his surrounding additions were right behind him too at 9 each — so that means almost 30% were using one of them.
The likes of Luke, Blanka, JP, Guile and Marisa also saw a nice boost from the added competition as well though not everyone made it to this point either.
There were still 2 characters who didn’t seem to appear at all this far into the tournament being Dhalsim and Ryu.
• Akuma – 10 (1)
• Ed – 9 (1)
• M. Bison – 9 (1)
• Ken – 7 (1)
• Luke – 6
• Cammy – 5 (2)
• Blanka – 5 (2)

• Manon – 2 (1)
• A.K.I. – 2
• E. Honda – 2
• Zangief – 2
• Dhalsim – 0
• Ryu – 0
Pulling all the way out to the top 256 shows us that Ken did end up as the most popular after all with 22 players maining him, but JP surprisingly almost caught him shooting up from 5 to 20 with the additional placements.
Akuma was right up there too followed by M. Bison and Ed while Chun-Li, Kimberly, A.K.I., Honda, Zangief and Dhalsim saw significant jumps too where as 14 characters in total reached double digits.
Every world warior did see play up to this point of the massive event at least, but Ryu was still at the bottom with only 2 competitors maining him followed by Jamie and Manon.
With that whopping 5,279 competitors signed up for just SF6 at Evo this year, the top 256 here represents just the best 4.8% of everyone who signed up.
