Ballet Palm Beach adds pianist, author to board
Classical pianist and the author and photographer of “Sunsets,” a coffee-table book, Lora Drasner has been named to Ballet Palm Beach’s board of directors. In addition to serving on the Miami City Ballet board for several years, Drasner studied ballet for 12 years. Drasner is co-chairing the Ballet Palm Beach Gala “A Night in Monte Carlo,” on Jan. 29, 2025 at the Breakers.
Wounded Veterans Relief Fund names board chair
The Wounded Veterans Relief Fund board of directors recently confirmed Russ Cancilla as the new chairman and president of the board, succeeding retired Lt. Gen. Robert Chelberg. Cancilla, a decorated combat veteran, has held key positions of increasing responsibility during his military service, including serving as the military aide to President George H.W. Bush. Over the past three years, as a board member and vice president, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s direction. Founded in 2009, the relief fund is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization led by veterans serving veterans. Its mission is to provide urgent financial assistance and critical dental care to Florida’s eligible wounded and disabled veterans.
West Palm Beach Fishing Club managing director rises to president
The West Palm Beach Fishing Club’s board of directors recently named Tom ‘Buzz’ Bzura, of North Palm Beach, as the organizations new president. Bzura has been working at the fishing club for the past eight years, most recently serving as the organization’s managing director. In his new role as club president he will be responsible for producing all angling programs, including the famous Silver Sailfish Derby, as well as managing the day to day operations at the nostalgic clubhouse in downtown West Palm Beach. The club was founded in 1934 and currently has over 1,600 members. Its mission is to preserve local sportfishing history, and to promote recreational fishing and the conservation of Palm Beach County’s saltwater resources.
Bank of America Private Bank adds to Palm Beach office
Bank of America Private Bank recently announced to addition of Phillip Edwards and Lauren Stuhmer to their Palm Beach office as private client advisors. They will be responsible for providing wealth management services, including investing, philanthropy, credit, and financial planning, to ultra-high-net-worth families across the U.S. with a focus on Southeast Florida. Both Edwards and Stuhmer join from join from Citi Private Bank, where they were both senior bankers managing $7 billion in client balances. Bank of America Private Bank is a unit of Bank of America, N.A.
Rentyl Resorts adds VP of business development, marketing
Elevating its strategic relationships with hospitality and residential development brands, Rentyl Resorts has named Michael Trampas the company’s new executive vice president of business development and marketing. Trampus is introducing them to new revenue opportunities created by Rentyl’s unique formula for combining a luxury resort vacation with the comfort of home living. Since 2015, Rentyl Resorts has been changing the face of real estate, travel, and tech, creating new ways to manage real estate and take vacations.
Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey & Fronrath latest partner checks milestones
Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey & Fronrath has announced that attorney Gabriel Isasi V has been named the firm’s newest partner. Isasi becomes the youngest partner in the firm’s history and the first Hispanic partner in over 25 years. Boca Raton promotes longtime employee to city attorney
The City of Boca Raton is pleased to announce the promotion of Joshua Pariente Koehler to city attorney. Koehler will oversee all aspects of the city’s legal operations, serving as the primary legal advisor to the council, city manager, and city departments. With nearly two decades of municipal law experience, including over 13 years with the city of Boca Raton, Koehler’s expertise and dedication will help ensure a seamless leadership transition for the city’s Attorney’s Office.
