Education Foundation official honored in Orlando
The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County director of grants and programs Jennifer Ethridge was presented with the Staff Superstar Award during the “ConnectED” conference of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundation that was held this past September in Orlando. The award is presented annually to a local education foundation staff member who steps up to support and share resources with their peers throughout the state through the Consortium. Ethridge was chosen from among 360 staff members of local education foundations throughout Florida. The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, formed in 1984, serves the schools, teachers, and students in the School District of Palm Beach County. As the philanthropic partner to the school district, it facilitates student achievement by supporting high-quality public education through partnerships and community collaborations, grants, events, scholarships, and public awareness.
Officer in Boca Raton real estate firm earns award
Falcone Group recently announced that chief operating officer Alfonso Costa Jr. was named the 2024 Young Leader of the Year by the Urban Land Institute Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council. This award honors inspiring industry professionals aged 35 or younger whose outstanding achievements and contributions are advancing the industry and positively shaping our region’s communities. Costa Jr. received the award in September at ULI’s 16th annual Vision Awards event. Headquartered in Boca Raton, Falcone Group is a national real estate development and investment firm.
Renown oncologist joins Tampa General team serving South Florida
Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute|Cancer Center of South Florida recently welcomed world-renowned physician scientist and head and neck oncologist Dr. Marshall Posner to its practice. Posner joins team from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he was a professor of medicine and medical director of the head and neck oncology program. He is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
Popular downtown West Palm Beach hotel names PR coordinator
Hilton West Palm Beach recently announced the appointment of Victoria Molina as PR & marketing coordinator for the popular downtown hotel, dining, and entertainment destination. Molina previously served as guest experience coordinator at Hard Rock Stadium and has held internships at Headbox in London and The Lenox Hotel in Boston. She will manage the hotel’s social media platforms, developing and executing marketing strategies, and delivering monthly marketing analyses to hotel leadership.
Kravis Center names vice president of development
The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts has announced the appointment of Churé Gladwell as its new vice president of development. With over 30 years of leadership experience in the cultural, human services and nonprofit sectors, Gladwell will spearhead the Kravis Center’s fundraising initiatives, guiding strategic planning efforts and fostering relationships. The center provides exceptional cultural experiences that entertain, inspire, and educate audiences across the entire community.
Best Lawyers recognizes three attorneys from Gardens firm
