Topeka man arrested for burglary of business in North Topeka
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A Topeka man was arrested for burglary of a business in North Topeka, Kan.
According to the Topeka Police Department officials, officers were dispatched at around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4 to 405 NW Lyman in reference to a burglary alarm at the business.
Topeka Police Department officials said upon arrival, officers saw an individual inside the business committing a burglary. The suspect ran out the side door and was apprehended a short distance from the business.
TPD officials indicated as a result of the investigation, Donald R. Koch, 46, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on the following:
- Burglary
- Criminal damage to property, felony
- Interference with LEO, obstruction
- Possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
