TRAFFIC ALERT: Travel closures issued for the NELA region

NORTHEAST LOUISIANA (KNOE) – This is your go-to list for travel closures in the Northeast Louisiana region. These closures may range from roads, bridges, sidewalks, or any other closures impacting travel.

If you would like to notify KNOE of a travel closure, email us at news@knoe.com and put the words “Travel Advisory” in the subject line along with where the closure is, why it is happening, if there is an expected time of reopening, and if there are suggested or required detours.

Active Closures

Notice: Once a closure has ended, it will be removed from this list.

The following travel areas are closed or are soon to be closed:

  • La. 852, approximately 1.6 miles north of U.S. 80 in Richland Parish
    • Reason: Culvert failure
    • Starts: Aug. 14, 2024
    • Ends: Until further notice
  • La. 813-3 bridge over the Little Dugdemona River in Jackson Parish (approximately 1.75 miles east of U.S. 167 near Hodge)
    • Reason: Bridge repairs
    • Starts: Aug. 19
    • Ends: Expected to reopen Aug. 30
  • Two La. 4 bridges over a creek in Jackson Parish, just east of Chatham Super Bee Speedway (approximately 4.2 miles east and 5 miles east of La. 34 near Chatham)
    • Reason: Bridge repairs
    • Starts: Aug. 17
    • Ends: Expected to reopen Aug. 18
