TRAFFIC ALERTS: Prepare for changes and detours that could affect your travel plans

Southeast Texas — TxDOT is releasing a list of traffic alerts you’ll want to know about as you plan for your weekend and the following week.

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Due to weather earlier this week, construction work that was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 4 has been rescheduled to begin tonight. The two inside lanes of IH-10 eastbound from Walden Road to Washington Boulevard will be closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

On Saturday, September 7, the IH-10 westbound main lanes at Washington Boulevard will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

All traffic will exit at Washington Boulevard and will be able to re-enter IH-10 westbound at the next available on-ramp. Expect delays.

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Expect alternating lane closures on IH-10 eastbound and westbound from Walden Road to 7th Street beginning Sunday, September 8 through Friday, September 13. Work is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. Expect delays and drive cautiously through the area.

ORANGE COUNTY – The left lane of IH-10 eastbound at the Sabine River Relief Bridge will be closed on Monday, September 9 beginning at 9 a.m. until noon. Expect delays.
