TRAVEL ALERT: I-70 westbound will be closed for several hours due to crash, say police

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed I-70 westbound from Exit 37 to Exit 26. No injuries have been reported.

As of 10:12 a.m, police stated that all westbound lanes in the area will be closed for several hours as first responders clear the wrecks. All traffic is being diverted to the Horizon Drive exit.

According to authorities, the crash involved two pickup trucks and a flatbed trailer pulled by one of the two trucks.

KJCT News 8 has crews on their way to the scene to gather more information.
