Travel YouTuber calls Wilmington “one of the most underrated cities”

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Here we go again, or should I say “Here we grow again!”

Once again, Wilmington and this part of southeastern North Carolina have been labeled a top “move to” destination.

moveBudda, a relocation tech company, has released its midyear update to 2024 moving trends – and Wilmington ranked as a top five destination.

“We have a growing community. People want to live here,” said Wilmington mayor, Bill Saffo. “People want to move here for a variety of different reasons.

Lots of people are lured back to southeastern North Carolina after a vacation visit. If it’s good enough for two weeks, why not make it 52?

“I found out it’s definitely one of the most underrated cities I’ve ever been to,” said travel blogger Tony Hossri. “Between it being a coastal city, the boardwalks, how nice the people were, and the fact that I haven’t even heard about it. It was such a huge pleasant surprise.”

Hossri just dropped a video about his travels to Wilmington on his YouTube channel, where you’ll find about a dozen videos of excursions Tony and his crew take.

“We’re so busy and seem to spend so much time on our phones and social media,” said Hossri. “My channel is all about helping people live in the moment. Even if it’s just baby steps.”

After his surprise visit, we caught up with Hossri back home in North Georgia and told him the week his video dropped, Wilmington, NC was once again named a top spot to relocate.

“There’s a very good and fun atmosphere there,” said Hossri. “Oh, man it comes as no surprise to me anymore.”
