The Trump campaign’s ever-shrinking definition of who counts as a “real American” is now targeting public service workers. With momentum shifting toward the Harris-Walz ticket, Trump’s campaign is resorting to attacking Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz’s career in public service. The latest line of attack suggests that Walz, a former geography teacher, high school coach, and 24-year military veteran, is unfit for office because, according to Trump’s camp, he’s never held a “real job,” a “private sector job.”
