CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WKEF)– Centerville is continuing to grow and now it’s bringing more dining options.

“By having new restaurants coming into Centerville it gives our residents certainly more options, and also people from the entire region to come and try some new types of cuisine here,” said Erik Collins, development director.

Those new restaurants include a Chicken Salad Chick and Mi Cozumel. The Cornerstone Shopping Center known for its many restaurants has served as a place for enjoyment. It attracts people from all over the Miami Valley.

Collins said they’ve already started planning for traffic, and congestion with the new places coming emphasizing the importance of good infrastructure.

“Parking infrastructure making sure you have that, roads are well maintained have the right widths that can handle the right volumes,” Collins said.

Collins said when planning for new places to come, they strategically think about how it aligns with the community’s needs, also considering what will generate more wealth for the city.

“And so in the next five years, we’re going to continue to focus on looking at greenfield sites that not only are for retail but also that are aligned with the greater demands and are aligned with the state of Ohio, the region and the two counties of green and Montgomery,” Collins said.

The city said they’re extremely excited about the restaurants since it adds more to the amenities.

The city said within the next six months, the community can expect to see ribbon cuttings and grand openings for these restaurants who will be ready for their service.
