UAB Athletics releases tickets for football, three other fall sports

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – UAB 2024 fall sports tickets are now officially on sale, UAB Athletics announced Thursday.

Single game tickets for home and away football games were made available for fans to watch the Blazers in head coach Trent Dilfer’s 2nd season at the helm. The Blazers were 4-2 inside Protective Stadium in 2023 and hold a 12-5 record since the stadium opened in 2021.

UAB will host Alcorn State at Protective in week 1 Aug. 29 for a ‘Party at Protective’ to kickoff the 2024 season.

In addition to football, tickets for women’s soccer, men’s soccer, and volleyball were also made available Thursday.

The women’s soccer team will begin their second year in the American Athletic Conference under coach Lisa Mann. The Blazers will have eight regular season home matches in 2024, including a match against SEC opponent Ole Miss Sept. 5. They will kickoff their home schedule Aug. 15 against Eastern Tennessee State.

UAB men’s soccer will begin their third season in the AAC under the leadership of first year head coach David Lilly. The Blazers will play seven games at home in 2024. They begin their home schedule Aug. 22 against North Carolina.

Blazers volleyball will host a multitude of big matches at home inside Bartow Arena this season. Betsy Freeburg’s team will host two SEC opponents, Mississippi State and Auburn, crosstown rival Samford, and Sun Belt Conference opponent South Alabama. Eight of the Blazers 14 home matches will be played against ACC opponents.
