TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A highly respected international ranking has once again recognized the University of Arizona as one of the world’s best universities.
UArizona is ranked No. 93 – a two-spot increase from 2023 – in the 2024 edition of the Center for World University Rankings, released today.
UArizona also ranked No. 48 among U.S. institutions and No. 26 among public colleges and universities.
The ranking places UArizona among the top 0.5% of nearly 21,000 colleges and universities worldwide. The number of faculty members who have been awarded major academic distinctions contributed to the university’s showing, with UArizona placing No. 69 overall in this category.
“We are thrilled to see the Center for World University Rankings once again recognize the University of Arizona for its stellar academic and research accomplishments,” said University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins. “This university prides itself on providing a platform for internationally recognized research scholars who consistently develop groundbreaking solutions to address the world’s most pressing challenges.”
The university’s overall score (82.2 out of 100) was strengthened by its performance in the quality-of-faculty (No. 69) and research performance (No. 111) categories.
