Universal unveils details about upcoming Super Nintendo World in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. (WBRC) – Fans of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong and the rest of Nintendo’s legendary characters will soon be able to emerse themselves in the colorful world of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Super Nintendo World is set to open next summer as part of Universal Orlando Resort’s brand-new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

One of five new lands within the park, Super Nintendo World will feature attractions, shopping and interactive experiences inspired by the Super Mario franchise and Donkey Kong Country.

Upon walking through the iconic green pipe synonymous with Mario’s adventures in the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond, guests will be greeted by the sights and sounds of Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country.

Super Mario Land will include two rides, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure, Mario-themed food choices, shops and meet-and-greets with characters.

Donkey Kong Country will have guests enjoy the lush, tropical landscape from its video game namesake, complete with tall trees, waterfalls, and more before hopping on the Mine Cart Madness ride.

Super Nintendo World will be the third installment of the land across all Universal parks, with two already open in Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Japan.

Universale Epic Universe is expected to open in 2025.
