Casino Night

The Larimer County Republican Party will hold a Casino Night at 5:30-9:30 p.m., Saturday, June 8, at Loveland Yards, 5661 McWhinney Blvd.

The event is a fundraiser for the Larimer County Republican Party, and is for ages 21-plus only.

Tickets start at $100 and include a taco bar, margarita and a $500 gaming voucher for a variety of Vegas-style games led by professional dealers, with an opportunity to win prizes.

There will also be a silent auction with some items to bid that include a five-night vacation getaway in Grand Lake and a four-wheeling Jeep excursion.

Community Conversation

A Joint Community Conversation and Legislative Session Wrap-up with State Sen. Janice Marchman and Larimer County Commissioner Jody Shadduck-McNally will be held at 9-10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Loveland Public Library, 300 N. Adams Ave.

The gathering will offer a chance for community members to engage with their local representatives, discuss the recent legislative session and address issues important to Loveland and Larimer County.

Bike Demo Day

Celebrate the start of summer with a Bike Demo Day at the Berthoud Bike Park, 1223 Meadowlark Drive, at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 8.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office will hold a bicycle safety fair, and local food trucks will be present.

Berthoud Market

The Berthoud Market will take place at 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays, June 8-Sept. 21, at Fickel Park, 620 Mountain Ave.

The market will feature a variety of locally owned booths, music and food, and tries to strengthen relationships between local food production and food consumers by educating and making local food accessible.

Taste of Fort Collins

The annual Taste of Fort Collins event will take place Saturday-Sunday, June 8-9, at Washington Park, 301 Maple St.

Food and business vendors will be on site.

The event will be open noon-9 p.m. Saturday, June 10, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday, June 11.

Headline performers are Andy Grammer at 7:30 p.m. June 8 and Rick Ross at 6:45 p.m. June 9.

Day passes are $17, two-day passes $24 and VIP passes are $50.

‘Twelfth Night’

Cub Fun Day

A Cub Fun Day for children in kindergarten through fifth grades will be held at 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Liberty Common School Plato Campus, 1725 Sharp Point Drive.

Cub Fun Day, hosted by the Bighorn District Adventure West Council BSA, is open to all kids, even those who don’t belong to a Cub Scout den.

It will offer games and adventures that will test bravery, teamwork and problem-solving skills, such as the Brain Freeze Challenge, an obstacle course and more.

Cost is $30, which covers materials and snacks available during lunch time.

Ride to End ALZ

The Colorado Ride to End ALZ will take place at 7 a.m. Sunday, June 9, at Canvas Stadium, 751 W. Pitkin St.

Route options range from 10 to 75 miles.

Cost is a minimum of $75, along with fundraising of at least $500.

Scandinavian Fest

The Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures will offer a bus trip to the 31st annual Scandinavian Midsummer Festival is in Golden on Saturday, June 15.

The Scandinavian Midsummer Festival features more than 80 artisans, organizations and performers to share their culture and traditions through food, crafts, demonstrations, and entertainment.  There will be a Midsummer Pole, Scandinavian Market, Fjellborg Vikings living history encampment, storytelling and games with Leif the Viking, making crafts such as flower crowns, and the Scandinavian Classic Car Show by the Rocky Mountain Volvo Group.

The luxury bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. June 15 from Harmony Park and Ride, on the northwest corner of Interstate 25 and Harmony Road and will return there by 4 p.m.

Transportation tickets are $80 per person, and registration and signed waiver are required by 5 p.m. Friday, June 7, at globalvillagemuseum.org.  Admission to the festival is free, but there are costs for food.
