‘US to India in 30 Minutes?’: Elon Musk on Ultra-Fast Travel

Following Donald Trump’s re-election as US President, Elon Musk, now co-leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with Vivek Ramaswamy, announced that SpaceX’s ambitious “Earth-to-Earth” space travel project is closer to becoming a reality.

The project, utilizing SpaceX’s Starship rocket—the world’s most powerful—aims to revolutionize intercontinental travel with unprecedented speeds.

Designed to carry up to 1,000 passengers, the Starship would orbit parallel to Earth’s surface, drastically reducing travel times.

Proposed durations include Los Angeles to Toronto in 24 minutes, London to New York in 29 minutes, Delhi to San Francisco in 30 minutes, and New York to Shanghai in 39 minutes.

The concept has gained traction online, with a viral post speculating that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) might approve the project under the new Trump administration.

Musk responded to the post on X (formerly Twitter), affirming, “This is now possible.”

As excitement builds, Musk’s vision for ultra-fast travel could transform global connectivity, making it possible to traverse continents in mere minutes.
