Vehicle collides into business’s fence in Forrest Co. Saturday

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) – One person was injured Saturday after a vehicle collision in Forrest County.

According to Macedonia Fire Department Public Information Officer, Capt. Austin Exine, firefighters were called to the 1500 block of U.S. Highway 11 to the report of a one-vehicle collision with possible injuries.

When arriving at the scene, Extine said firefighters found a silver Honda sedan that had left the roadway and collided with the fence of a business in the area. The vehicle had extensive front-end damage due to the collision.

The driver of the vehicle was able to exit under his own power and only suffered moderate injuries, according to Extine.

Extine said AAA Ambulance Service took the driver to a local area hospital for treatment.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is actively investigating the cause of the incident.
