Venture Asheville telethon aims to raise $1 million for local business recovery
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — There was music, dancing and clogging on the night of Wednesday, Dec. 11 to help the business community in Asheville recover from Helene.
Venture Asheville held a telethon at the Orange Peel.
The goal is to raise a million dollars for local businesses and entrepreneurs.
The money will fund grants and low-interest investments to support economic recovery and growth.

“The folks here in this room tonight are the ones that make this a great place to live and work,” said Venture Asheville director, Jeffrey Kaplan. “So we’re celebrating them and celebrating our community amidst awful destruction and looking towards to what can be in the future.”
