Vice President Kamala Harris to travel to Detroit
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Vice President Kamala Harris will head to Michigan on Monday, May 6.
It will be the second stop on her nationwide Economic Opportunity Tour. The White House said this will be her second visit to the state in 2024 and her fifth since being sworn in.
The tour kicked off in Atlanta, GA. In February, VP Harris visited Grand Rapids to hold a roundtable conversation as part of her nationwide Fight for Reproductive Freedoms tour.
She also visited Detroit in the fall of 2022, highlighting job training programs.
President Joe Biden is also expected to travel to Michigan later in May. According to the White House, Biden will travel to Detroit on Sunday, May 19.
