Virtuix’s Omni One is an entertainment setup, where gaming meets fitness

Virtuix has announced its Omni One, a full-body Virtual Reality (VR) gaming setup that offers users an immersive gaming experience by mirroring the virtual avatar at every step.

Omni One is quite an innovation, allowing players to entertain themselves by stepping into the game to explore, engage, and interact with in-game mechanisms.

The Omni One uses a treadmill and a standalone VR headset to provide free movements like walking, running, jumping, and crouching without any boundaries in a full 360-degree experience.

This hardware allows players to stay at one spot on the treadmill and use handstick-like controllers to move around the map.

The Omni One’s treadmill has an attached adjustable support vest and sturdy aluminum arm with built-in wheels for easy relocation.

No extra tools are required to assemble or disassemble Omni One. The VR headset in Omni One is Pico 4E VR, a lightweight headset with seamless connectivity that offers an immersive superior display. The HyperSense Controllers have built-in responsive haptics for better tactile engagement.

Using SteamVR or any compatible VR headset, PCs can wirelessly connect to Omni One and choose a game from a wide range of lineups.

These include popular VR titles like Hubris, Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom, Ancient Dungeon, and Death Horizon: Reloaded (among others).

Additionally, the Omni One is a complete entertainment setup where gaming meets fitness. The dedicated Omni One app tracks steps, distance covered, and even calories burned.

This setup includes an Omni One treadmill, a customized VR headset, a pair of hand controllers and overshoes, foot trackers, and cleaning accessories.

The Omni One is priced at $2,600 and comes with a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. It is currently available only for customers in the US.
