Visit Owensboro secures 3 national conferences with Group Travel Family

Visit Owensboro has secured three national conferences organized by the Group Travel Family, with organization officials saying the events will pay dividends for years to come.

“This marks a major change in our sales strategy, where we’ve specifically targeted successful meeting planners across different market segments. By partnering with Group Travel Family, we’re bringing the most influential meeting planners directly to Owensboro, and we expect this to pay dividends for years to come,” said Teresa Jones of Visit Owensboro.

According to their website, Group Travel Family delivers valuable leads, sales, and bookings and helps connect more than 25,000 travel influencers with destinations, hotels, attractions, restaurants, and gaming partners.

The three conferences will kick off with the Select Travelers Conference from March 9-11, 2025. Later in 2025, the Group Travel Conference will gather the nation’s top group travel directors and influencers. In 2026, Owensboro will host the Small Market Summit, an event that brings meeting planners focused on smaller destinations and more intimate travel experiences to our city.
