After another exciting week of the spring high school sports season, it’s time to look back on the top team performances.
Read about the teams that stood out last week and let us know which one should be the North Jersey Team of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.
Voting closes at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Bergen Charter softball
The Bees went 3-1 last week to even their record at 5-5 for the season. Those five wins broke the program’s single-season record.
Northern Highlands girls lacrosse
The Highlanders went 2-0 last week, beating rival Ramapo on Monday and upending Immaculate Heart Academy on Thursday.
Passaic baseball
The Indians went 4-0 last week, including a win over Hawthorne in the first round of the Passaic County Tournament. They are now 10-3 this season, matching last year’s win total.
Pompton Lakes baseball
The Cardinals went 5-0 last week, outscoring opponents 49-10. They are now 10-2 so far this season.
Ramapo softball
The Raiders went 5-0 last week, including a 20-10 win over Pascack Hills in the Bergen County Tournament. They are now 13-4 on the season.
Ramsey boys lacrosse
The Rams pulled off two upsets at home last week, beating Pascack Valley, 9-8 in overtime, and Wayne Valley, 8-6.
