Each week we post a Player of the Week poll and a Team of the Week poll. Here’s how to vote, share and see the winners.
After another thrilling week of the spring high school sports season, it’s time to look back on the top team performances.
Read about the teams that stood out last week and let us know which one should be the North Jersey Team of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.
Voting closes at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Don Bosco boys lacrosse
The Ironmen beat Ridgewood, 10-5, on Saturday to win the Bergen County Tournament title. They became the first program to win four county titles in a row.
IHA girls lacrosse
The Blue Eagles ended Ridgewood’s 18-year run as Bergen County Tournament champions, winning Saturday’s title game, 12-11. They also became the first Bergen County team to beat the Maroons since 1995.
Lakeland baseball
The Lancers went 3-0 last week, capping the week with an 8-2 win over DePaul in the Passaic County semifinals. They’ve now won six games in a row and 11 of their last 13.
New Milford softball
The Knights beat Midland Park and Cresskill last week by a combined score of 28-3. They’ve now won nine of their last 10 games after starting 2-6.
Ramapo baseball
The 10th-seeded Raiders pulled off two upsets in the Bergen County Tournament last week to advance to the semifinals. They beat Ramsey, 9-7, in Wednesday’s Round of 16, and beat Ridgewood, 1-0, in Saturday’s quarterfinals.
Waldwick boys track and field
The Warriors won Group D at the Bergen County championships, their first county group title since 1989.
Wayne Valley boys lacrosse
The Indians dominated the first half on the way to an 11-5 win over West Milford in Saturday’s Passaic County championship game.
West Milford girls lacrosse
After trailing 4-0 early on, the Highlanders rallied for a 10-9 win over DePaul in Saturday’s Passaic County championship game.
