VOTE: What is your World Series prediction?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across Major League Baseball. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in New York Yankees fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

There’s a buzz in the air around the City, as the Yankees are back in the Fall Classic for the first time in 15 years. Beginning on Friday, the Yanks and Dodgers will battle to see which titan of the game gets to leave the year with a championship and which will be left with disappointment. It’s a marquee matchup and yet one that hasn’t happened since 1981.

We’re not going to stretch for a difficult topic in this edition of the Reacts poll. Since the World Series doesn’t begin until the end of the week, we want to know who you’re picking to win it all, and in how many games. The survey options are limited to “X in 4-5 games” and “X in 6-7 games” rather than opening up all eight possibilities, but the gist of the prediction will be clear. Who is winning? And will it be a short or long series?

We also have a World Series MVP prediction question. Obviously, that’s more open-ended, so though the question is targeted to the scenario where the Yankees take home No. 28, feel free to click “Other” if you think that we’re getting a surprise Yankee winner like in the NLCS, where amid the star power of Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and more, Tommy Edman ended up winning MVP. But Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Giancarlo Stanton, and Gerrit Cole do feel like the most obvious candidates.

We’ll revisit the results later this week, as well our own staff predictions.
