Walmart Black Friday 2024: What time does Walmart open day after Thanksgiving? Store hours, more
In keeping with the trends for the past several years, Walmart will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The closure, which started in 2020, gave employees time to spend with their families, the company said.
Instead, Walmart is approaching Black Friday sales with a multi-pronged approach both online and in person with doors opening bright and early the day after Thanksgiving.

Walmart kicked off its last of a series of Black Friday sales Monday and is continuing them online through Thanksgiving Day. After being closed Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 28), stores will re-open Black Friday (Nov. 29) at 6 a.m.
Stores will remain open each night until 11 p.m.
Store hours will remain open 6 a.m.-11 p.m. through Dec. 23. Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) hours will be 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Stores are closed Christmas Day.
Cyber Monday
Cyber Monday will follow a similar expanded schedule.
Online deals will go live at 5 pm. ET (4 p.m. CT) on Sunday, Dec. 1 for paid Walmart+ members then to others at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT). Customers can shop the retailer’s best online deals at Walmart.com and the Walmart app until midnight ET on Monday, Dec. 2.
