Walmart leaks Black Friday 2024 sale: When do the massive deals start?

One of the biggest and best Black Friday sales to grab some major savings over the holidays is always held at Walmart.

Walmart drops huge discounts over Black Friday, and 2024 is expected to be even bigger and better than ever. The retail giant has announced its plans for a massive sales event dubbed “Black Friday Deals” and the deals don’t disappoint.

During this multi-event “Black Friday Deals” sale, Walmart has already revealed big markdowns across its endless product line. This includes deals on electronics, home goods, kitchen gadgets, toys, fashion and more.

With Walmart‘s “Black Friday Deals” sale just ahead, here’s everything you need to know to shop for huge savings over the holidays.

When does Walmart’s “Black Friday Deals” sale start?

For 2024, Walmart is dropping two Black Friday sales events, with the first one starting online on November 11 at 1 p.m. ET and in stores on November 15 at 6 a.m. local time. Walmart+ members will get early online access to the sale five hours before the general public (November 11 at 12 p.m. ET).

The second “Black Friday Deals” sale will go live online on November 25 at 5 p.m. ET and in stores on November 29 at 6 a.m. local time. Walmart+ members will also get online access deals five hours early on November 25 at 12 p.m. ET.

This is a different setup than in previous years, where the sales event was called Walmart’s “Deals for Days” and typically took place in the course of three events during the month of November.

Also new for this year are even more markdowns that will be dropped in the middle of each sale’s event exclusively online and on the Walmart app.

Walmart will then keep the deals rolling with a Cyber Monday sale that will online be available online and on the Walmart app beginning on December 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Walmart+ members will be able to start shopping the sale three hours early (December 1 at 5 p.m. ET.)

Do you need a Walmart+ membership to shop the “Black Friday Deals?”

No, you don’t need a Walmart+ membership to take advantage of the deals during the “Black Friday Deals” sale, but you will get a big perk if you have one.

Walmart is giving Walmart+ members early access to online deals five hours before it opens the sale for all shoppers. This means you can grab the discounts first and get those hot ticket items that typically sell out quickly during the holidays.

Plus, a Walmart+ membership will snag you free shipping on most items purchased online from Walmart and additional perks like fuel discounts, free delivery on orders of $35 or more, savings at Burger King, Paramount+ streaming access, and more.

From now on, Walmart is offering a huge price cut on Walmart+ with 50% off an annual membership. With the deal, Walmart+ drops to $49 a year, instead of $98, for a savings of $49 off. Walmart also has a monthly Walmart+ membership that costs $12.95 per month.
