Walmart Plus membership price slashed to $49 ahead of Walmart Deals event: How to sign up

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Walmart shoppers are getting an extra gift this Independence Day week. Walmart Plus annual memberships will be discounted 50% starting today – Friday, July 5. This massive price slash will bring the cost of a membership down from $98 to $49.

This limited time offer gives non-members even more a reason to sign up before Walmart Deals launches on Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m. Eastern. Folks can get a Walmart+ membership at 50% off while securing early access to shop what is being billed as the largest savings event ever.

The membership discount will begin today at 12 p.m. Eastern and expire on July 18 at 12 p.m. Walmart Deals week will take place from July 8 to July 11.

During Walmart Deals week, customers can shop thousands of deals on popular items from electronics, home, toys, travel and more – including must-have items heading into the back-to-school season.

Starting today through Monday, in addition to the discount, Walmart+ members get 5-hour Early Access to hot online deals that start July 8, meaning they can take advantage of the Walmart Deals sale at 12 p.m. Eastern. Early Access during the event is for online shopping only.

Interested in signing up? New members get a 30-day free trial. After the 30 days, shoppers can get a monthly membership for $12.95 or a yearly membership for $49, which has been slashed in half.

The 50% discount for Walmart+ is available only to new, expired, monthly, and current Walmart+ trial members. Members through Walmart+ Assist, or with InHome or Paramount+ with SHOWTIME are not eligible. After your promotional term, your plan will auto-renew for $98/year plus any applicable taxes. If you are a trial member, your promotional term will start immediately, and the remainder of your free trial will be forfeited.
