WANTED: HPD seeks public’s help in identifying suspect behind shooting at business

Houston police are turning to the public for help identifying a suspect captured on camera during a shooting at a local business, where a 45-year-old man was critically injured.

The shooting took place at 9418 Almeda Genoa Road around 8:30 p.m. on June 23.

The suspect, described as a man with locs, was captured on surveillance footage, which has been released by the authorities.

The 45-year-old victim was found inside a business, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

According to investigators from the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division, the suspect approached the victim as he was attempting to enter his vehicle and opened fire before fleeing the scene on foot.
