WEST BEND — Washington County Foster Closet recently announced that it will be hosting a winter coat shopping day on Saturday, Oct. 12 in preparation for the cooler seasons coming up.
Washington County Foster Closet is a local organization that provides clothing and other items a child needs when they are removed from their homes. It works to provide foster, kinship, and guardianship families with the items they need to so that the real focus can remain on the social, emotional well-being of the child.
This event will run from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Washington County Foster Closet’s location at 3018 Progress Drive in West Bend. No appointment will be needed to participate. Foster and kinship children through the age of 17 and their families are welcome to come in and pick out a coat for the child together or the children can pick out their own coat, with supervision.
