Watch: 99-year-old World War II veteran sings national anthem at Texas Rangers game

The national anthem ahead of Texas Rangers games is starting to become a topic of conversation.

Following last month’s viral rendition before the Home Run Derby, the organization delivered another memorable singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” on Sunday afternoon.

Before Texas’ 7-2 loss to the Boston Red Sox, the hometown crowd was treated to an anthem sung by 99-year-old World War II veteran Don Graves.

Standing in front of home plate, Graves played to the crowd before beginning to sing, and despite his age — he delivered.

After the anthem, Rangers announcer Chuck Morgan told the crowd Graves served as a combat Marine, was a survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima and an ambassador for the AirPower Foundation — which brought on even more cheers to an already raucous ovation.
