Water main breaks at SouthPointe Pavilions, temporarily closing three shops
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A few businesses were underwater on Wednesday after a water main broke in south Lincoln.
The C Building at the SouthPointe Pavilions shopping center had a water main break on Wednesday morning, impacting three businesses.
The Amish Furniture of Nebraska, White House Black Market and Buckle shops at the shopping center are temporarily closed. The spokeswoman for SouthPointe Pavilions, Rachel Eroh, said that cleanup is underway.
A 10/11 reporter who visited the scene Wednesday morning said that about one foot of water could be seen in the furniture store. The other shops experienced less severe water damage.
The furniture store’s owner, Lisa Sabels, said all of her furniture in the shop is a loss, and she expects the floor will need to be redone. Impacted customers will still be able to receive services out of the Amish Furniture of Nebraska shops in Elkhorn and Grand Island.
Eroh said that the timeline for cleanup and reopenings is unclear as of Wednesday afternoon.
