Watertown, Aberdeen businesses to receive millions in investments
PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Governor’s Office of Economic Development Board of Economic Development approved three loans at this month’s meeting to benefit a pair of businesses in Aberdeen and Watertown.
The financing will create 14 full-time jobs and reflects a capital investment of around $6.5 million.
“This financing allows two more local businesses the ability to grow in South Dakota,” said Deputy Commissioner Jesse Fonkert. “I am proud that our office can play a role in their success.”
Dakota Automation Properties LLC (DAP) of Watertown was approved for a Revolving Economic Development and Initiative (REDI) loan in the amount of $1,965,038. They were also approved for an SD Works loan for $982,519.
The loans will allow them to build a new building to accommodate growth and expansion.
Borns Group Inc. of Aberdeen, a professional mailing and marketing business, was approved for an SD Works loan totaling $530,000 for working capital.
