Wesley Snipes reacts to learning he set two new Guinness World Record with cameo in new Deadpool & Wolverine

Wesley Snipes showed off his sense of humor when he learned he set two new records that were made official by the Guinness World Records.

The first one was ‘for the record of longest career as a live action Marvel character’ after Snipes suited back up as Blade/Eric Brooks and reached the mark of 25 years and 340 days as the superhero in Blade (1998).

He fittingly surpassed Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine when he took hold of the news world record.

In addition, the Snipes Deadpool & Wolverine cameo also set the new record for ‘the longest gap between character appearances in Marvel films,’ with his last appearance being 19 years and 231 days ago since Blade: Trinity (2004), which is the third installment in the series of films.

Alfred Molina previously held that record with 17 years. He first played Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 (2004) and later reprised the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
