Renowned watch retailer Westime is expanding its footprint in Southern California by opening the doors to a new Tudor brand boutique in San Diego, located at the upscale outdoor-air Fashion Valley mall. Fashion Valley is the largest shopping destination in the San Diego area, and it is a must-visit spot for residents and out-of-towners.

Tudor is one of the most popular premium watch brands in today’s market, attracting seasoned collectors and newer watch buyers with its selection of high-performance sports watches with classic designs and in-house movements. A major draw of Tudor watches is its ability to offer top-notch quality while maintaining accessible price points.

Greg Simonian, President of Westime shared his excitement about expanding operations into the San Diego area: “San Diego is California’s third largest city and a popular luxury shopping destination for tourists. It has been traditionally overlooked by many luxury brands, but Westime has done very well there. With its timeless sporty looks and aspirational pricing, Tudor was the right company to partner with to keep expanding into San Diego. This adds to our existing Westime store location in the nearby La Jolla area, as well as a different mono-brand boutique we already have in the Fashion Valley mall.”

He added, “Westime has been at the forefront of opening mono-brand boutiques across the United States, a business model that requires shared commitment and vision from both the retailer and the brand. Our partnership with Tudor has been incredibly successful, and we are confident that this new Southern California location will further strengthen our collaboration.”

San Diego is one of California’s fastest-developing retail and luxury markets, offering an ideal beach climate and a more relaxed pace of life than Los Angeles. According to the San Diego Business Journal, the “retail market is just very healthy” and there was “steady growth for retail in San Diego County” last year. This market optimism coupled with Tudor’s already-existing popularity in Southern California creates an optimal environment for long-term success.

Given Tudor’s selection of expertly engineered and durable watches, it comes as no surprise that the brand is well-regarded in Southern California, where residents are often outside, taking advantage of the mild climate and enjoying the stunning scenery. Plus, Tudor’s cool yet casual design vibes are perfectly suited to the more relaxed dress code that permeates this part of the country. Whether divers such as the Black Bay and Pelagos, travel-ready pieces like the Black Bay GMT and Black Bay Pro, or excellent everyday watches including the Black Bay 31/36/39/41 and Clair de Rose, Tudor offers something for all types of California lifestyles.

This is the second Tudor boutique spearheaded by Westime, which follows the success of the 2022 opening of Tudor at Century City Mall in Los Angeles. The new store was designed primarily by Tudor’s in-house team with valuable input from California experts. The result is a thoughtfully curated space with a lounge area, full bar, and dedicated watch display areas for fans of the brand to immerse themselves comfortably in Tudor’s world.

The new San Diego Tudor boutique is now open at Fashion Valley, located at 7007 Friars Road, Suite 513. San Diego, 92108. Operating hours are 11am to 7pm Monday—Saturday and 12pm to 6pm on Sunday. For more information, please visit Westime’s website.
