What To Expect From Made By Google Event 2024: The Pixel 9 Series, Pixel Watch 3, Gemini AI, And More
The annual Made By Google event is just around the corner, and this time around, we expect the company to unveil an array of devices. While the upcoming event has been getting quite the hype, with speculations and leaks revolving around the big unveiling, it seems to be that the Pixel 9 series has managed to stay in the limelight of the release, and it could be possibly due to an earlier than expected launch date. The upcoming lineup is not the only announcement users anticipate as they look forward to other significant product updates and AI upgrades.
Google is set on releasing the Pixel 9 series, Pixel Watch 3, and more on August 13th
With the event date looming, Google is gearing up for the unveiling and the many products it plans to introduce, which are no mystery owing to the leaks and reports emerging lately. The Pixel 9 lineup is usually planned for a fall release, but this pattern is changing this time around, with all eyes set on the upcoming Pixel models. Google is to release four models, including one foldable version, pivoting from its previous trend of releasing three models.
Pixel 9
The base model Pixel 9 will be equipped with improved camera capabilities. It will feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and 48MP ultrawide lens, which will improve the quality of the pictures and capture images in low-light conditions as well. The display size will be 6.3 inches, and it will be packed with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Pixel 9 Pro
The Pixel 9 Pro will have the same display size as the standard model but more advanced features and specifications. It will also have a revamped camera module with more protrusion for better performance and a 50MP primary sensor, 48MP ultrawide camera, and 48MP telephoto lens. For selfies, the Pixel 9 Pro is getting an upgrade of a 42MP front-facing camera. It comes with 16GB RAM and storage that goes up to 512GB.
Pixel 9 Pro XL
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is said to be similar to the Pixel 8 Pro, sporting a 6.8-inch display. It would feature a bigger battery and an additional telephoto camera, improving camera performance. Similar to other models, it will be powered by Tensor G4 SoC. The Pro XL is said to be priced higher even though it is said to follow the Pixel 8 Pro.
Pixel 9 Pro Fold
After entering the foldable market last year, Google is set to introduce its next model, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which will feature an upgraded camera module. It will sport a squarish camera array on the rear panel and be significantly lighter and thinner than its predecessor by going for an 8-inch main display and a 6.3-inch cover screen.
Pixel Watch 3
The Pixel Watch 3 will also debut alongside the Pixel lineup and is the talk of the town for its two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, which are more inclusive and target a larger user base. It will include key improvements, such as thinner bezels, a brighter display, and longer battery life.
Pixel Buds Pro 2
Although there is scarce information on the Pixel Buds Pro 2, reports point to Google introducing it at the big event. It follows the same design and charging case but adds new colors for the wireless earbuds. It also improves the sound quality massively to better match up with the competition.
Gemini AI
We expect Google’s keynote to revolve around Gemini AI and the advancements it is bringing forward this time around. The company will add new features and expand on capabilities for a more customized and seamless experience.
These are some of the features and products we expect Google to introduce, but the company might surprise us with new devices at the event. We will be covering the event in detail, so stay tuned.
