Though Apple has yet to confirm a release date, technology outlets like Forbes and CNET predict the iPhone 16, along with its Pro and Pro Max models. will hit shelves on Friday, Sept. 20.
Apple’s upcoming event, themed with the tagline “It’s Glowtime,” has tech enthusiasts buzzing. New iPhones typically become available shortly after such events, with experts predicting a release on the Friday of the following week.
What will the new iPhone look like?
Not much is known about the iPhone 16’s design, but Bloomberg has reported that the Pro models will feature larger screens and new camera functionality, including a dedicated photo button. It will also replace the blue color with something different and return the popular rose gold from a few years ago.
In addition to the highly anticipated iPhone reveal, Apple is set to roll out new artificial intelligence tools under the banner of Apple Intelligence. These tools were previewed at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
When is iOS 18 coming out?
Accompanying the hardware launch will be iOS 18, Apple’s latest software update, which will be available for iPhone Xs and later models. Expected to launch around the same time as the iPhone 16, iOS 18 will introduce several new features, including customizable home screens and AI-generated “Genmojis.”
Other key features include the ability to schedule messages, a redesigned photos app, and tools to help users rewrite, proofread, or summarize text across various applications.
