What’s Nayanthara’s fitness secret? It’s ‘eating without guilt’!

A good diet is necessary not just for a toned body, but for a healthy & happy life, revealed ‘lady superstar’ Nayanthara. One of the most prolific actresses down South, Nayanthara is known for her versatility as well as impeccable looks. Taking to Instagram, the ‘Jawan’ actress underlined the importance of a good diet. She admitted that in a profession where actors are often expected to look their best on-screen, taking care of one’s appearance and being fit is non-negotiable.

The ‘Raja Rani’ actress also admitted that at the beginning of her career, she was overly focused on counting calories and controlling portions to stay slim and trim, but as the years went by, she realised the importance of having a balanced diet, and that there’s no cheat sheet for being fit.

“A good diet is essential for a healthy and happy life, especially for someone like me, an actor who needs to look their best for every role. Staying in shape has always been about balance, consistency, and listening to my body. I used to think a ‘diet’ meant restricting myself and eating things I didn’t enjoy…” wrote the ‘Netrikann’ star.

The actress added, “Now, I know it’s not about counting calories; it’s about counting nutrients and eating a variety of foods in the right amounts. This is a lifestyle, not a temporary fix.”She went on to thank her nutritionist Mumum Ganeriwal for guiding her through it all. Her personalised food plan helped the actress gorge on homemade dishes without any guilt. “ I eat with pleasure and without guilt, no longer craving junk food. This has changed how I view food, making me feel nourished, energetic, and genuinely happy…” she wrote. The actress concluded that our diet plays a fundamental role in our overall well-being. “ believe that what we eat significantly impacts our overall well-being. By sharing my journey, I hope to inspire you to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and to help you, in the coming few weeks I will be sharing what keeps me going through my hectic days. Let’s focus on the joy and nourishment that comes from eating well and maintaining a positive relationship with food because “What you put on your plate is what you put into your life”Nayanthara’s post went viral on Instagram, gaining more than 445K likes.

Ganeriwal reacted to the shoutout, and wrote, “It’s such a pleasure to know and work with someone like you and you have put down your journey so beautifully.. QUEEN for a reason!”

A fan thanked her for eschewing bombastic diets and not misinforming fans. “Thanks for sharing and emphasizing nourishment rather than counting calories… It’ll helpful to see a glimpse of what are some of your go-to healthy..” the comment read.

Last year, the ‘Lady Superstar’ made her Bollywood debut in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer, ‘Jawan’. Directed by Atlee, the action drama earned a staggering Rs 1,000 crore at the box-office. It had SRK in a double role and also had Deepika Padukone in a cameo.

Nayanthara will next appear in 11 movies, including one untitled Mammootty-starrer.
