Michigan State continues to be positioned for a bowl trip right down the road this year, according to Jerry Palm of CBS Sports.
Palm released his updated bowl projections on Sunday, and Michigan State was once again in the mix and staying close to home. Palm has the Spartans landing in the Detroit Bowl and facing Eastern Michigan of the Mid-American Conference. This was the same projection Palm had for the Spartans the last few weeks.
The Spartans are now 4-5 overall and 2-4 in Big Ten play. Michigan State was blown out by undefeated Indiana this past weekend.
Michigan State will be off next week on a bye, and return to action on November 16 at Illinois. Kickoff time is still to be determined at this time.
