Where to watch the NFL in Pensacola: 16 area sports bars with lots of screens and specials

play

The NFL season kicks off today and is off to an exciting start in a match-up between 2023 Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Baltimore Ravens. Whether you’ve been counting down the days to watch your favorite team or will watch any game as long there are hot wings and cold beer available, Pensacola has a wide variety of sports bars and local breweries where you can spend the season.

While many sports bars on the list pride themselves on having NFL Sunday Ticket, a steaming video service that gives fans the ability to watch out of market NFL games, a recent DirecTV-Disney dispute has complicated things by causing DirecTV subscribers to lose access to ESPN until it is settled.

There are still other ways to get the Sunday Ticket in the meantime, such as YouTube TV, so make sure to check with your local bar ahead of time to ensure the game you’re looking for is available.

Here are 16 sports bars where Pensacola football lovers can go on game day.

Sammy Barker’s

875 E. Nine Mile Road, 850-912-6000

Sammy Barker’s is a popular spot on East Nine Mile Road for its American street food – Pensacony dogs, Red White N Bleu burgers and a wide variety of local and regional craft beer. But during football season, a whole new batch of fans pile in to catch a game off DirecTV’s Sunday ticket and score a wing special.

Sammy Barker’s will be showing up to eight out of market games every Sunday, with Sunday brunch available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., including bottomless mimosas. There will be game day specials available each week, including domestic beer pitchers starting at $10.99, domestic beer buckets for $15.99, house wine and seltzers for $5.75 and $10.99 wing or tender basket with french fries or tots.

The restaurant recommends getting there early and saving a seat or calling to make a reservation at 859-912-6000.
